Technical Background
Steve Singleton has been in the practice of public accounting since 1986 and has had his own practice since 1993. His experience is very broad in that he has provided most of the basic services that a CPA offers the public. He has performed audits, reviews, and compilations of financial statements. He has assisted his clients with the installation and operation of their own accounting software, including Quickbooks and Peachtree. He has performed compliance tax filings for C corporations, S corporations, limited liability companies, partnerships, individuals, trusts, estates, and tax exempt organizations. Several of his clients have required multi-state compliance filings for sales and use tax, payroll, and business income and franchise tax. He has assisted his clients with audits by the Internal Revenue Service on various occasions, encompassing the lowest audit personnel to the appeals section.
He graduated with a Master of Taxation from Georgia State University in the fall of 1996.
He passed the CPA examination in 1987 and met the public accounting experience requirement in 1988 for the CPA designation in Tennessee. He obtained the Georgia License by reciprocity in 1989.
He graduated from Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee with a BA in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting in May of 1986.
